Elliot to Colorado for Anderson, Kaberle for Colborne near

Ottawa Senators have dealt struggling goaltender Brian Elliot to the Colorado Avalanche for their own struggling goaltender Craig Anderson, seems more of a sideways deal to me, but Anderson is believed to have more of an up side than Elliot.

The Ottawa deals so far are certainly not franchise changers, the only real asset they have acquired so far out of Fisher/Elliot/Ruutu is a late first for Fisher, this could be a VERY slow rebuild for Ottawa fans.

Tomas Kaberle (as per Damien Cox of the TheStar.com) will likely be heading to Boston today for Boston's 1st Round pick in this June's draft, along with 6'5 Centre Prospect Joe Colborne, it was originally thought that Blake Wheeler was to be involved, but I think Brian Burke balked at Wheeler given his slow progression since the 2004 draft.

Keeping an eye everything as usual, in other rumor news, Mark Stuart may be dealt to the Chicago Blackhawks today to make room for Kaberle.

Montreal is making serious inquiries about Chris Phillips of Ottawa.
